On behalf of the Altona Junior Football Club committee I’d like to welcome everyone to the 2017 Season.

The AJFC is a place where everyone belongs and is welcome. The club is also proud to and excited to re-form our Youth Girls team after a few years absence. This will add another dimension to our already thriving club and we are excited for the future of female footy within the WRFL.

The committee will continuously work towards improving the AFJC standing within the WRFL competition. Through good governance and a dedication to following a planned coaching curriculum, the ongoing sustainability of our club and overall development of the young players are most important.

This season we look forward to further strengthening our great club with the full implementation of the Under 17s Pathway Program. This is a joint initiative with our senior partner the Altona Football Club. It’s headed by Jason Walsh, our Coach’s Co-ordinator, Vinnie Turcinovich, our Junior Development Manager and Altona Football Clubs Seniors coach Saade Ghazi. The program focuses on the pathway for our top age juniors to transition to senior football, and flow on effect will be felt throughout the club as we continually work towards developing junior footballers into senior footballers. Remembering always that while the focus on development, it won’t be without having fun.

We are proud to be a strong, inclusive club where everyone is welcome. We encourage good sportsmanship and fair play. We foster respect and commitment, hoping to leave a positive impact on all the young people that are involved with the Altona Junior Football Club.

Go Vikings!
